We believe that parents, as real experts of their own children, are a critical part of the Hearts Leap team. As members of our life-long learning community, parents join with staff to create a sense of shared purposes, mutual respect, and wonder of the joys of childhood. We strongly encourage parental participation in our community and ask that parents give 12 hours of their time, each school year, to help with school projects.
Parents, grandparents, older siblings, and other family members are regularly seen in the classrooms at Hearts Leap. They can be found reading to a group of children in a quiet corner, leading a cooking activity at a table, or sharing a special family tradition with the class.
